CHINESE MODEL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER DANCE EDUCATION

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the key characteristics of the Chinese model of higher dance education in the context of contemporary transformations in the educational and art space. It is established that the Chinese higher dance education system is characterized by the integration of national cultural traditions with global educational trends, which ensures its dynamism and adaptability. The main trends in the development of dance education in China are analyzed. It is determined that this model is distinguished by a strong connection with traditional artistic practices, a philosophical foundation of education, an orientation toward national traditions, and the integration of arts and pedagogical training.
The conceptual and pedagogical foundations for future dance educators’ training are revealed, based on the combination of traditional cultural practices and modern educational innovations. Particular attention is paid to the philosophical and pedagogical principles of the Chinese model, which are grounded in the ideas of harmonious personal development, the combination of emotional and rational components in learning, and the development of professional identity of future dance educators.
The specifics of the functioning of Chinese higher dance education are outlined as part of state cultural policy aimed at preserving national heritage and integrating into the global educational space. Contemporary modernization trends are analyzed, including the reconsidering of the dance teacher’s role as a facilitator of learning, the strengthening of student-centered approaches, the development of professional identity of future specialists, and the implementation of reflective and constructivist learning models. It is emphasized that these features contribute to the development of a holistic system for training specialists in dance art who are capable of creative self-realization, pedagogical activity, and intercultural interaction.
